ADOT changes weekend work schedule; I-10 lanes, US 60 ramps stay open

PHOENIX – No freeway restrictions connected to the Broadway Curve improvement project will be necessary this weekend, state transportation officials said Friday.

The plans announced earlier this week called for eastbound and westbound Interstate 10 to be narrowed to two or three lanes between 40th Street and Baseline Road and the closure of HOV ramps between I-10 and US 60.

The cancellation leaves one weekend project that will affect drivers until 4 a.m. Monday, Dec. 16.

Bridge work will require 40th Street to be closed in both directions at I-10. The east- and westbound I-10 on-ramps at 40th Street also will be closed.

Drivers should plan on using detours via 32nd Street or Broadway Road, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.
