The eastbound Loop 202 (Santan Freeway) on-ramp at Alma School Road is now open, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.
ADOT has reopened the eastbound Loop 202 on-ramp at Alma School following a weeks-long closure for reconstruction.
The reconstruction is one of many ramp closures that are part of the 30-month Santan Freeway widening project between Loop 101 and Val Vista Drive.
ADOT thanks drivers for their patience while this improvement work took place, a news release states.
Ongoing Loop 202 long-term ramp closures include:
-Eastbound Loop 202 off-ramp at Arizona Avenue — anticipated to open mid-December
-Westbound Loop 202 on-ramp at Alma School Road — anticipated to open mid-January
The Loop 202 improvement project will require additional closures and restrictions. For more information, click here.
ADOT implores drivers to promote highway safety by observing speed limits that are reduced to 55 mph in work zones. Slow down, stay alert and be prepared to merge with caution when approaching and traveling through all work zones, ADOT requests.
