Arizona Department of Health Services reported 5,442 new coronavirus cases and 82 new deaths, for a total of 346,421 cases and 6,821 deaths, as of Thursday.
In the Peoria area, total cases are up from 7,518 to 9,010 compared with this time two weeks ago, a difference of 1,492 cases or an increase of about 20%, according to Arizona Department of Health Services as of press time.
Over 90% of cases were mapped to the address of the patient’s residence. If the patient’s address was unknown, the case was mapped to the address of the provider followed by the address of the reporting facility.
