ADHS: Peoria area ZIP codes have 39,250 COVID-19 cases, nearly 50% increase since June

Arizona Department of Health Services reported 4,184 new coronavirus cases and 56 new deaths Thursday, for a total of 1,228,076 cases and 21,808 deaths.

In the Peoria area, cases are at 39,250 compared with 38,649 this time a week ago, a difference of 601, according to Arizona Department of Health Services.

This is an increase of about 47% since the beginning of June, and 57% since the beginning of April.
