Actress Vivica A. Fox will be the featured celebrity guest at the inaugural Rhythm of Well-Being Community Concert and Leadership Honors Celebration in downtown Phoenix.
The fundraising event supports Equality Health Foundation's commitment to removing barriers and advancing equitable access to well-being resources for all individuals, a press release notes. The community concert will offer a night of live music, including by renowned reggae band Big Mountain, alongside appearances by Fox and other celebrity guests.
The event, which will start at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 17 at the historic Orpheum Theatre, 203 W. Adams St. There will also be a Red Carpet VIP Reception from 6-7 p.m.
Fox will attend the Rhythm of Well-Being’s Red Carpet VIP Reception, the Health Equity Champion Awards program and concert. She is dedicated to a range of charitable efforts, particularly those that focus on health, children, and underserved communities.
"I’m thrilled to be part of this important national celebration,” Fox stated. “Health equity is a cause close to my heart, and I look forward to joining Equality Health Foundation in raising awareness and support for this crucial work."
Local luminaries scheduled to attend include Arizona Cardinals co-owner Nicole Bidwill, former Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver AC Caswell, and IFBB professional bodybuilder Rusty Jeffers. The evening will celebrate purpose-driven leadership while supporting equitable access to health and well-being for all.
Among the items up for bidding in the event’s online auction are the Phoenix Suns Executive Suite for the 2024-2025 season donated by Arizona Public Service and a specialty entertainment package donated by celebrity chef Mark Tarbell.
This year, the public health theme will be mental health. The community is encouraged to come together to honor four Health Equity Champion Award recipients in Healthcare, Community, Education, and Business.
Equality Health Foundation, the philanthropic partner of Equality Health, serves residents and communities in Arizona, Texas, Tennessee, Virginia and Louisiana.
