Activity in Viewpoint Lake picked up last week as a variety of tasks were worked on simultaneously.
Multiple large dirt haulers went in and out of the lake while workers removed and cut up some palm trees removed from the banks. Dirt loaders were also busy grading the lake bottom and the sloping sides.
The weather has been cooperating with the work schedule for the most part. Some light rain fell in Sun City early in the morning March 21, but it stopped by 7 a.m. and crews were in the lake with a frenzy.
