Activist: Valleywise makes community healthier, stronger

Posted

I have spent my life fighting for the rights and interests of low-income people, immigrants and the Latino community. The people that I fight for depend on Valleywise hospitals and clinics for their primary care, maternal care, emergency care and behavioral health.

Valleywise is committed to serving every patient regardless of their ability to pay and is an essential service for working people. Without the Valleywise clinics and hospitals, many people would have no access to primary or preventative care at all.

We are all healthier and stronger as a community when we can all access essential health care services.

I am voting yes on Proposition 409 because Prop 409 will allow Valleywise Health to expand its services and capacity in areas like maternal, pediatric and behavioral health, which will improve health care access for our community members who need it most.

Vote yes on Prop. 409 to improve health care equity in Maricopa County.
