Sun City West residents who want to learn more about shooter awareness can attend a class nearby.

Lt. Ken Silvia, Maricopa County Attorney’s Office resident expert on active shooter events, will share the dynamics of what an active shooter or violent event looks like and what to expect. He will also provide tips on how to increase your situational awareness and survivability.

This event is set for 10-11:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 3, at the Property Owners and Residence Association, 13815 W Camino Del Sol.
