Ace Hardware shopping center on Bell Road rezoned

Part of the shopping center with an Ace Hardware at the northeast corner of 43rd Avenue and Bell Road was approved for a rezone by the Phoenix City Council on Wednesday.

There is a sign posted outside the Ace Hardware store indicating that it is closing.

The zoning change is a step toward keeping the property commercial rather than turning it into apartments and could signal different commercial tenants in the future.
