Abrazo Arrowhead Campus, at 18701 N. 67th Ave., Glendale, earned “High Performing” ranking in seven adult procedures and conditions as a top regional hospital in the 2021-22 US News Best Hospitals.
Abrazo Arrowhead received High Performing rankings for treating the following adult procedures and conditions: abdominal aortic aneurysm repair, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), heart attack, heart failure, kidney failure, pneumonia and transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR).
The rankings placed Abrazo Arrowhead Campus in the top 10 for both metro Phoenix (#6) and the state of Arizona (#7). US News’ evaluation of Abrazo Arrowhead Campus also includes data from Abrazo Arizona Heart Hospital, a satellite of the Arrowhead Campus.
“I want to express my thanks for the commitment of our employees and physicians for making this recognition possible,” Abrazo Arrowhead Campus CEO Stephen Garner stated in a news release. “Acknowledgement from independent organizations like US News validates the daily contributions they make on behalf of our patients.”
Abrazo Arrowhead is known for its surgical services, cardiovascular care, orthopedics, women’s and infants services including a Level IIEQ Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), and other services. It is home to Abrazo’s General Surgery Residency and Internal Medicine Residency programs, which help bring new physicians to the community.
Abrazo Arrowhead was also recognized as a 2020-21 Best Regional Hospital by US News. The Best Hospitals procedure and condition ratings focus on specific and more commonly required individual procedures and conditions. The goal is to evaluate how well hospitals perform in each procedure or condition, according to US News.
Rankings were generated by evaluating data in a variety of medical specialties and procedures for nearly 5,000 hospitals across the U.S.
