One of the biggest travel days is almost here and more Arizonans are hitting the road compared with the past few years, according to AAA.

Memorial Day is expected to bring Arizonans out of their homes and onto roadways — with an estimated 933,000 Arizona residents planning to travel this upcoming weekend, said Julian Paredes, AAA Arizona spokesman.

That number is estimated to be 33,000 higher than for Memorial Day 2023.
