Açaí Republic is set to open its No. 23 store this weekend in the south end of the shopping center on the northeast corner of Alma School and Chandler Heights roads, anchored by Spice Up Your Life.

The Brazilian juice bar chain, based in California, focuses on açaí bowls, which include the superfood açaí berry known for its healthy properties.

The signature item is probably the “Real Brazilian” bowl. The base is açaí, banana, strawberry, blueberry, raspberry and guarana. Toppings include granola, banana or blueberry.

There are also smoothies, juices, and an international selection of pastries.
The hours are 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., seven days per week.

The address is 4991 S. Alma School Road, No. 11. Call the store at 602-805-7821 or visit acairepublic.com.
