Police ID man killed

Reports from various West Valley police departments depicted each of eight drive-by shooting incidents, giving a general timeline of last Thursday’s shooting spree that killed one and injured 12.

Peoria police announced Tuesday the name of the man who was killed in the June 17 shooting: 67-year-old David Liebler. Police say the believe Liebler was shot in the neck by the shooting suspect, 19-year-old Ashin Tricarico, while driving on Loop 101 near Thunderbird Avenue. He was discovered hours after the shooting because his pickup truck had careened off the freeway into a canal.

Peoria police had previously stated the homicide victim was a 56-year-old man. No other victims’ names have been released.
