A possible solution to the trash truck fire problem

In his recent letter, Trash truck fires, haz-mat situations are an ongoing problem in Valley cities, Ronnie Keshishian writes that he thinks “residents don’t care where the items end up, they just want them gone.”

Perhaps if the solid waste companies provided electronic waste pickups (similar to recycle days), folks wouldn’t simply toss batteries, etc. into the regular trash.
