A new chapter for Hispanic leadership emerging in U.S.

Nation’s 250th anniversary underscores participation, progress, continuing commitment necessary for shaping our future

OPINION — As the United States approaches its 250th anniversary, the nation is not just marking a date but reflecting on a story still being written. From the founding era to today, that story has been shaped by generations of Americans whose contributions, sacrifices and ideas have defined the country’s trajectory.

Among them, Hispanics have been present since before the nation’s founding, building communities, defending freedoms, strengthening institutions and contributing to the economic and cultural fabric that underpins American success.

The anniversary offers a moment not only to celebrate but to recognize a fundamental truth: The American experiment has always been a shared endeavor.
