A look at the postseason history between the Suns and Trail Blazers

As the Suns take on the Portland Trail Blazers in a play-in game Tuesday night, here is a look at the two teams’ postseason history.

The Suns and Blazers have met seven times in the playoffs, with the Suns winning four of the seven including the most recent meeting in 2010. It has been a close matchup, with the Blazers leading in playoff wins between the two teams, 16-15 despite having fewer series wins.

The winner of Tuesday’s game will earn the seventh seed in the Western Conference and face off against the two-seed San Antonio Spurs in the first round of the playoffs. The loser will play again Friday against the winner of the Los Angeles Clippers and Golden State Warriors with a chance to earn the eighth and last playoff seed, facing off against the defending champion and top-seeded Oklahoma City Thunder in the first round.
