$90,000 more goes to Scottsdale legal team amid ongoing FAA fight

Scottsdale City Council has approved a $90,000 payment to its California-based specialty legal team as the city’s lawsuit against the FAA continues in federal court.

The city council approval came Dec. 7 after previously being earmarked for a November agenda. The $90,000 payment is for the law offices of Leech Tishman Fuscaldo & Lampl, where attorney Steven Taber is handling the city’s petition for review regarding the Federal Aviation Administration’s flight path dispute.

The issue between FAA and Scottsdale has been ongoing, stemming from 2014 flight route changes. Mediation between the two entities reportedly has not been unsuccessful.
