A variance is being sought for a nine-unit housing development constructed with shipping containers planned near Country Club Drive and First Avenue in Mesa.
The Mesa Board of Adjustment meets at 5 p.m. for a study session and 5:30 p.m. for a meeting Dec. 4 in the lower council chambers, 57 E. First St., to in part discuss the variance from the form based code building form standards to allow for a multiple residence development in the transect 3 neighborhood district.
The site was previously developed as a single-family residence until its demolition in 2022. The applicant is proposing to redevelop the site for a two-story, nine-unit multiple residence development totaling approximately 6,168 square feet, Planner Kwasi Abebrese said in a written staff report.
