Two slurry seal contracts totaling $879,208.74 that were recently approved by the City Council will be used to preserve Apache Junction streets within several housing subdivisions.
The projects are part of the fiscal year 2021-22 capital improvement and street maintenance plan and are funded by the 0.2% sales tax dedicated to road maintenance and repairs.
The council on Feb. 1 voted unanimously in a consent agenda with other items to approve contracts for $473,552.48 with Viasun Corp. and $405,656.26 with Southwest Slurry Seal.
