$845K raised for Phoenix Art Museum’s fashion department

Collection houses nearly 9,000 examples of fashion, accessories from five centuries

A luncheon and fashion show raised more than $845,000 for the Phoenix Art Museum’s fashion exhibitions, acquisitions, and educational programming.

The Arizona Costume Institute, a support group of Phoenix Art Museum, hosted the holiday luncheon at the Arizona Biltmore.

More than 575 guests participated in a luxury raffle, fashion presentation, and fireside conversation with prestigious designers, who shared insights into their creative process. Chaired by Lana Breen and Justine Hurry and honoring longtime supporter Miriam Sukhman, the event featured keynote speakers Veronica Miele Beard and Veronica Swanson Beard, co-founders of the global fashion label Veronica Beard.

A luncheon and fashion show raised more than $845,000 for the Phoenix Art Museum’s fashion exhibitions, acquisitions, and educational programming.

The Arizona Costume Institute, a support group of Phoenix Art Museum, hosted the holiday luncheon at the Arizona Biltmore.

The Arizona Costume Institute was founded in 1966 to support the Phoenix Art Museum’s fashion department through the acquisition and preservation of garments and accessories of historical and aesthetic significance.

Comprising nearly half of the Museum’s permanent holdings, the collection houses nearly 9,000 examples of fashionable dress and accessories from five centuries of style.
