80-year-old Scottsdale man arrested for allegedly shooting solicitor

An 80-year-old Scottsdale man was arrested for allegedly shooting a door-to-door solicitor in the back Sept. 13.

Patrick Joseph McBride was booked into the Maricopa County jail on charges of aggravated assault resulting in serious physical injury and disorderly conduct with a weapon.

The victim, a man, was transported to a hospital with life-threatening injuries and is currently listed in stable condition, according to a report from the Scottsdale Police Department.
