Youngest to complete El Tour de Tucson

Seven-year-old Carina Dinu from Scottsdale recently biked 102 miles through Tucson, completing the El Tour de Tucson on Nov. 19. The Great Hearts Archway Scottsdale student is the youngest rider to ever complete the course.

In eight hours and 15 minutes, Dinu was able to cross the finish line and beat the past record-holder for age and time: Her sister. Ariana Dinu completed the race last year at 10 years old.

After passing the torch to her little sister, the Dinus are ready to take on their next race.

Great Hearts Archway Scottsdale is part of the tuition-free nonprofit public charter network of Great Hearts schools and is located at 16648 N. 94th Street.
