If the theme of last year’s Surprise music festival was “go big or go home,” this year’s replacement gathering can be more described as “go young.”
At least seven up-and-coming performers in the relative beginning of their careers will be the featured performers at this year’s new Out of the Park Music Fest.
TV competition and Internet stars Paul Russell, Jake Hoot, Huntley, Mara Justine, Kelsie Watts, F.L.Y. featuring Easton and Kyle Mercer will be the headlining acts for the one-day festival Saturday, March 23. It will cap off the spring training season after the two “home” teams, the Texas Rangers and Kansas City Royals, play at 12:05 p.m. earlier in the day.
