Seven individuals successfully met the April 4 filing deadline to be official candidates in Scottsdale’s City Council election this fall.
Out of the seven candidates, Scottsdale voters will elect three people to City Council. The primary election is Aug. 2, followed by a Nov. 8, general election if necessary, to elect any office that remains unfilled after the primary election.
To be elected at the primary, a candidate must receive a majority of all of the legal votes cast for that candidate’s race.
