More development is planned for the area of Glendale comprising State Farm Stadium and the upcoming VAI Resort, and the district even has a new name.
The city on Wednesday announced a public-private partnership between Glendale, the Arizona Cardinals and Peoria-based Plaza Companies will bring a new 62-acre mixed-use project called “District at Sportsman’s Park, Glendale.”
The site is located east of Loop 101, south of State Farm Stadium and to the east of the new VAI Resort, which will be the largest hotel in Arizona when its 1,200 rooms open in late spring 2023 within its 60-acre entertainment resort.
