Six new affordable housing developments totaling 521 units are planned in Phoenix, and each could soon be getting a large check from the city.
Phoenix City Council will soon vote on whether to dole out $1 million in federal grant money to each of the six projects.
Each of the planned 521 units will be available only to households with incomes at or below 60% of the area median income, which is about $46,690 for a family of four, and 59 units will be only for households with incomes at or below 40% of AMI, which is about, $23,340 for a family of four.
