59 apply for Surprise city manager position

Interviews set for end of September

The city of Surprise is planning to fill the soon-to-be open city manager position by December.

A total of 59 applicants are vying for the position, which currently belongs to Mike Frazier through his Jan. 7 retirement.

The Surprise City Council has set up the schedule for the hiring process and plans to hold a special meeting to interview the finalists in public.
