$522M budgeted for Peoria Innovation Core over next 10 years

City will use ‘varying funding sources’ before funds are reimbursed

The city of Peoria has more than a half-billion dollars in capital improvement projects planned over the next 10 years for the Peoria Innovation Core in the northern part of the city.

Finance officials are on the homestretch to completing their proposed fiscal year 2026 budget planned for $1.17 billion.

Separate but concurrent to the budget is the city’s Capital Improvement Program that budgets projects into the future, from 2026 to 2035.
