$500M Mesa school override fails, voters OK continuing 15% override

Mesa Unified School District No. 4 had two measures — a 15% override continuation and the sale of $500 million in bonds — for voters to consider at the ballot-by-mail Nov. 7 election.

As of Nov. 14, in unofficial returns, the bond question lost 34,586 (50.94%)-33,305 (49.06%); and the override continuation passed 33,530 (50.16%)-33,318 (49.84%).

No results are final until the district governing board canvasses them.
