$500K in renovations coming to Tempe’s Creamery Park

Creamery Park in Tempe is set to receive over $500,000 in improvements later this year that will increase accessibility, renew its playground equipment and install a new park ramada among other renovations.

At its June 1 city council meeting, Tempe awarded Caliente Construction the contract to refurbish Creamery Park, located at 1520 E. Eighth Street, for a total of $552,168.15. Council also approved roughly $77,000 in contingency funds for the project.

According to a city staff report by Engineering and Transportation Administrative Supervisor Julie Acedo, the funds for this contract have been appropriated for fiscal year 2022-23.
