Five Valley families have realized their dreams of homeownership thanks to Habitat for Humanity, including two families in Peoria.
The nonprofit celebrated the dedication of the five homes May 2 at a new residence in Peoria, also honoring the recently completed homes and families in Buckeye, Glendale and Surprise.
Habitat for Humanity COO Debra Bradley said the organization works to eliminate barriers to a better, healthier, more financially stable life, and today that is celebration five times over.
