Apache Junction’s Health and Human Services Commission won’t be holding a special meeting to interview the nonprofits seeking about $80,000 in grants.
Questions that commissioners have regarding applications from five organizations with requests totaling $112,540 will instead be sent to each agency April 1 with answers required by April 12. Those will be compiled by city staff and forwarded to each commission member by April 13, with an April 26 public meeting vote and recommendation on how to divvy up the funding.
