4 in city of Mesa government paid $200K-plus

Records reveal Mesa’s top 25 highest-paid workers

Four city of Mesa employees are paid more than $200,000 a year, with three of them among the top 25 highest paid government workers in the Phoenix metro area.

Mesa City Manager Christopher Brady, paid $271,086.40 annually, receives less than Scottsdale City Manager James Thompson ($278,907.20) and Phoenix City Manager Edward Zuercher ($314,999.36), according to public records.

Brady became city manager in January 2006 and is the chief administrative officer of a municipality with approximately 4,000 employees, an annual operating and capital budget of $1.8 billion and a population of 500,000 residents. Mesa is the nation’s 35th largest city, according to the city’s website.
