3 teens shot in central Phoenix, 1 dies

Phoenix Police Department detectives are investigating a shooting this weekend that left one teen dead and two others hospitalized.

At about midnight Sept. 21, a Phoenix officer in the 1200 block of South 7^th Avenue was flagged down and found the teens with gunshot wounds inside a vehicle.

All were taken to a hospital where one was pronounced dead. The others had non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

Phoenix Police Department detectives are investigating a shooting this weekend that left one teen dead and two others hospitalized.

At about midnight Sept. 21, a Phoenix officer in the 1200 block of South 7^th Avenue was flagged down and found the teens with gunshot wounds inside a vehicle.

All were taken to a hospital where one was pronounced dead. The others had non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

Police discovered the shooting scene was near 13^th and Van Buren streets.

Anyone with information is asked to call Silent Witness at 480(WITNESS) or 480(TESTIGO) and provide an anonymous tip. Rewards will be paid for information leading to an arrest, police said.
