A second Sun City bank was robbed within the past two months.
The Bank of America branch, 10743 W. Grand Ave., was robbed May 5 by a man claiming to have a gun. The Chase branch, 10300 W. Thunderbird Blvd., was robbed in a similar fashion March 9.
Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched 11:36 a.m. to the Bank of America branch for what was reported as an armed robbery. Information received from employees was that a Hispanic male about 5-feet 2-inches and weighing about 280 pounds entered the bank claiming to have a gun and demanded money.
