$2.3B budget approved for city of Mesa

Police, fire/medical top funding priorities

A $2.3 billion budget for fiscal year 2022-23 has been approved for the city of Mesa, with a proposed secondary tax levy lower than the prior year.

The 2021-22 budget was $2.1 billion.

The budget was approved in a 6-0 vote June 6 with Councilmember David Luna voting by Zoom. Mayor John Giles was absent.
