John Ganados is big on the future of Dysart football, with young talent growing rapidly on the program’s brand new turf field.
But the seventh-year head coach knows the program needs to win now to avoid a recurring cycle of starting over with young talent.
“People tell me, ‘hey, you’re doing a good job.’ I want to win. That’s the bottom line. The ties I have in the community to get kids to believe this is the school and to get the families and the alumni to believe ... it’s very heartbreaking when you see alumni that you went to school with here and they’re sending their kids to other schools,” Ganados said. “It kind of gave me a second life seeing this group of kids because they’re very good. We have a lot of talent at the lower levels. We have amazing skill players. But we’re still starting three sophomores and one junior on the line.”
