2 West Valley leaders join WHAM board

New appointments strengthen arts mission across region

WHAM Center for the Arts has added two community leaders to its board of directors.

Roxy Garcia is a community impact specialist for Credit Union West and board member of the Peoria Chamber of Commerce. Christina Panaitescu is the community partnership program manager with the city of Goodyear.

WHAM (What’s Happen’n Art Movement) Center for the Arts offers exhibitions, classes, community outreach, and special programs for people of all ages to foster artistic expression and build community connections through the arts.

2 West Valley leaders join WHAM board

New appointments strengthen arts mission across region

WHAM Center for the Arts has added two community leaders to its board of directors.

Roxy Garcia is a community impact specialist for Credit Union West and board member of the Peoria Chamber of Commerce. Christina Panaitescu is the community partnership program manager with the city of Goodyear.

WHAM (What’s Happen’n Art Movement) Center for the Arts offers exhibitions, classes, community outreach, and special programs for people of all ages to foster artistic expression and build community connections through the arts.

"Our outreach spans the entire West Valley, and these new board members reflect a shared passion for ensuring that self-expression through the arts is accessible to all members of our growing communities,” Connie Whitlock, WHAM executive director, shared in a press release.

Garcia and Panaitescu join current WHAM board members Lisa Platt, board chair; Margaret Lieu, board secretary and treasurer; Kevin Perry; and Connie Whitlock.
