The Surprise community is mourning two cyclists after they were killed on their bicycles in separate incidents with vehicles three days apart earlier this month.
Surprise police said Tina Nobles, 66, died from injuries she suffered in a collision on Waddell Road near Loop 303 on July 9. Two days later, Michael Rash, 68, died after he was hit by a car in The Grand retirement community.
Sgt. Rick Hernandez said officers responded to the first incident just after 11 p.m. that night. Nobles was initially transported to a hospital but later died from her injuries.
