Mesa police recently arrested two juveniles, ages 16 and 17 runaways from Queen Creek, after they fled from officers in a stolen vehicle and then ran through multiple residential yards.
Both were booked into juvenile detention on felony and misdemeanor charges, including theft of means of transportation, felony flight, hit and run, and trespassing, police said.
At about 11:30 a.m. Sept. 11, Mesa’s Real Time Crime Center alerted officers to a stolen Chevrolet Malibu traveling east on Southern Avenue. The vehicle had been reported stolen earlier that morning out of Queen Creek after the registered owner discovered the car was missing.
