Two attorneys who provide public defender services in the Apache Junction Municipal Court have been rehired at the same pay — $2,225 per month.
A third will be needed when residents begin moving into recently annexed land, the city’s judge said.
The Apache Junction City Council on Nov. 16 voted unanimously on a consent agenda that included a professional services agreements for Karen Nicely and Diana L. Braaten for municipal court criminal indigent defense. The contracts are for Jan. 1, 2022-Dec. 31, 2023.
