A sizable chunk of Maricopa County voters have already returned their ballots as the primary election is about two weeks away, according to Maricopa County Recorder Stephen Richer.
As of July 15, about 175,000 residents in the nation’s fourth-most populous county have returned their ballots by mail so far for the primary, Richer said.
There are “roughly” about 2.4 million registered voters in Maricopa County with 35.2% Republicans, 28.6% Democrats and 34.6% Party Not Designated and “roughly” 2% are Green Party, No Labels and Libertarians, according to Maricopa County officials.
