A $148,800 agreement for architectural and engineering services was recently approved for the development of a 3,500-square-foot addition to the Apache Junction Multi-Generational Center, 1035 N. Idaho Road.
The professional services agreement with HDA Architects for $133,800 plus a contingency of $15,000, for a total not to exceed $148,800, was approved by the City Council in a unanimous vote June 7 of a consent agenda with other items.
The MGC addition on its north side is to house the city’s parks and recreation staff and administrators staff, who now are housed in a modular building once used as the police department, Liz Langenbach, the city’s parks and recreation director, said at a June 6 council work session.
