130 studio apartments planned in adaptive reuse of vacant Mesa motel

A hotel that has sat vacant for more than a year is to be renovated and leased as 130 studio apartments.

A site plan review and special-use permit for the multiple-residence Vivo Living Apartment Homes development east of Country Club Drive on the north side of Main Street was approved in a 5-1 vote March 10 by the Mesa Planning and Zoning Board with Tim Boyle voting no and Chairman Dane Astle absent.
