Paradise Honors senior star quarterback Gage Baker is racking up passing numbers — including meaningful ones leading to big wins — at a record pace, even for him.
Skill, experience and a rare three-year connection with most of his receivers are key factor in 2,505 passing yards and 39 passing touchdowns in the Panthers’ first six games. But the final piece was born out of hardship in the team’s only loss, a 56-28 road defeat Aug. 25 at Bullhead City Mohave.
In that game, coach Josh Goodloe moved 5-8, 150-pound senior Isaiah Thomas from running back to slot receiver, and 6-2, 190-pound senior Garrison Ast from slot to X receiver (split end).
