Legend Hayes, 1, died Sunday after he was struck by an SUV driven by a family member on property in the 4500 block of East Broadway Road, police said.
The collision occurred about 3 p.m. April 7, and the boy was rushed to a hospital where he died, according to police.
Detectives reported they learned a family member of the toddler decided to move the SUV after the family arrived from an errand, “and collided with Hayes while on the property.
"The driver had previously seen Hayes inside the residence before moving the vehicle,” police stated in a release.
No arrests have been made, police said, adding an investigation continues.
