Arizona Lottery officials said a $1 million winning ticket was purchased at the Quik Trip, 2010 S. Arizona Ave., for the Powerball drawing earlier this week.
Friday night, nearly $1 billion is on the line as the Mega Millions jackpot has been growing for more than two months.

Win or lose when the Mega Millions numbers are drawn Friday night, the person who purchased a ticket in Chandler for the Jan. 4 Powerball drawing will be just fine.
Arizona Lottery officials said a $1 million winning ticket was purchased at the Quik Trip, 2010 S. Arizona Ave., for the Powerball drawing earlier this week.
Friday night, nearly $1 billion is on the line as the Mega Millions jackpot has been growing for more than two months.
But even as the prize increases, the odds of winning remain the same: 1 in 302.6 million.
And, according to the Arizona Lottery, the odds faced by the person who purchased that winner in Chandler?
