A man was killed and three others injured early Sunday morning at a home in Litchfield Park, officials said.

Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the home near 127th Avenue and Orange Drive just after midnight May 28 regarding a possible assault.

They discovered the suspect assaulted a man, two women and a child, according to MCSO.

“Deputies forced entry into the home and took the suspect into custody,” officials said in a release.

Rural Metro firefighters provided medical treatment, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

One of the women was taken to a hospital with possible life-threating injuries, authorities said. The other woman and child were taken to a hospital as a precaution due to minor injuries.
