A 27-year-old man has been booked on one count of murder in connection with a shooting that occurred Saturday afternoon in Phoenix, police said.
Officers responded to a call about 3:45 p.m. Sept. 23 near 46th Avenue and Thomas Road where they found Luis Javier Ponce Munoz, 37, who died from a gunshot wound, according to a release.
Detectives took over the investigation that, authorities said, revealed Gabriel Javier Garcia, 27, was the suspect in the shooting.
Garcia was found, arrested and booked on one count of murder, the release stated.
