Moratorium On Construction Of Homes: Not long ago Janik called for a Moratorium. Her endorsed candidates should be called the "Moratorium Slate" because that's precisely what she called for and they support her call.

We learned about the Parque project this week. It's a fabulous repurpose of the old Crackerjax amu*****t park that's sat dormant for years. We learned about the Hovey project a couple of months ago. A stunning open space project that fits perfectly along the Loop 101 Freeway and at the Northwest corner of the airpark area.

There is little doubt in my mind that the Moratorium Slate would kill those projects in a nano-second. They brag that they would have killed Museum Square, killed the Kimsey Project, killed the Gentry project.

Three candidates promise thoughtful development and an increase in the supply of homes to replace those lost to Short Term Rentals. Ishac, Stratton and Zubia make sense to me.

The City Council does our City a huge disservice if it does stuff like stopping the Parque from being built on a boarded up amu*****t park property.
